Richland School District 2 Powered by Teach to Lead Summit Idea Submissions |
Overview - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
For nearly five years, Teach to Lead, an initiative of the U.S. Department of Education, ASCD and Teach Plus, has promoted a national conversation on teacher leadership by supporting teachers to turn ideas into action. Powered By Teach to Lead Summits are led by any of the over 170 supporting organizations that have pledged commitment to Teach to Lead's Vision. Teach to Lead believes that as experts, teachers should be leading the kinds of changes you know your students and colleagues need to improve schooling and instruction. As one such supporting organization, Richland School District 2 is pleased to announced the Richland School District 2 Powered by Teach to Lead Summit, June 18-19, 2019. We want you to assemble a team of teacher colleagues with an innovative idea for how you can make improvements on behalf of students and educators in our district.
How do participants benefit from the Summit? Participants will receive:
- Time and space to collaborate and develop ideas in order to put them into action
- Support from a dedicated “critical friend” with expertise to help develop your work plan.
- Networking opportunities with Teach to Lead staff, local and national supporting organizations and fellow educators in the district.
- Free registration
- Some meals during the Summit
