I’m Dr Claire Achmad, the Chief Children’s Commissioner here at Mana Mokopuna – Children and Young People’s Commission (formerly Office of the Children's Commissioner).

We want all young people in Aotearoa to grow up knowing they have what they need to live their best life - kia kuru pounamu te rongo!

We know that children and young people can only live their best lives when they have a genuine say about things that affect them.

My job is to find out what matters to you, to speak up for your rights and to champion your voice too.
