PVLIP is conducting a survey of participants of the Connecting Cultures & Communities workshop series. The ‘Connecting Cultures & Communities Guide/Toolkit & Video Series’ received funding from the Department of Canadian Heritage as part of the Anti-Racism Action Program (ARAP). The purpose of this survey is to learn about the impact the Connecting Cultures & Communities Toolkit and workshops has on individuals and communities, seek feedback on how to improve similar projects in the future, and report to Canadian Heritage about how the Connecting Cultures & Communities Toolkit and workshops are contributing to PVLIP’s Strategy & goals.
This survey should take about 3-5 minutes to complete. Your decision to participate in the survey is voluntary. The information you provide will be treated confidentially and will not be linked to you in any way. All the survey results will be summarized in aggregate form. Your comments and opinions are very important and will help PVLIP, Regional Connections, and Canadian Heritage to improve its programming and show how projects like these are making a difference in overcoming discrimination in Canada.
The survey questions explore program participants’ perceptions of whether the Toolkit and workshop series increased their awareness, understanding, and/or capacity regarding discrimination in the workplace and increasing awareness on how to be welcoming and inclusive by newcomers (Foreign born residents), religious minorities, and francophone communities. The definitions for these concepts are as follows:
· Awareness: knowledge or perception of an issue
· Understanding: ability to understand or comprehend an issue
· Capacity: ability to respond to an issue
Please answer to the best of your knowledge. If there are areas with which you are not familiar, you can skip to the next question.
