How has COVID-19 changed the way you travel?
What's this survey all about? COVID-19 has changed the way we move around the city. We want to know how the pandemic has impacted the way you travel and what is likely to change as the city opens up.
How long will it take?
5-10 minutes.
What's in it for me? You have the opportunity to help shape how Melbourne can emerge from lockdown. You'll also go into the running to win a $200 voucher to spend at your local bike shop.
Why are we doing the survey? As people in Melbourne start to emerge from lockdown, we'll all be looking for new ways to get around the city.
It’s no longer realistic to take public transport with thousands of other commuters – at least in the short term. Many people will turn to their cars, which will create bad congestion on our roads.
This survey is designed to help understand what will be needed to respond to changing transport needs during and after COVID-19.
Who's running the survey? We are a specialist community research and engagement consultancy called i.e. community. We realised earlier this year when working on a local government bicycle strategy that COVID was going to have a huge impact on travel. Given the impact on our communities and the people we work with, we decided we needed to know more.
How will the results be used? Over the last few months we have been talking to councils across Melbourne about the impacts of COVID-19 and sharing what we've learned. We will be sharing the results of the survey with local government and the report will be made available free on our website.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners and continuing custodians of the land on which we live and work, and honour their deep and ongoing connection to land. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and acknowledge that this always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
