Scoping Exercise
This Scoping Exercise is a joint project by the CO3 Special Interest Group on Health and the Long Term Conditions Alliance, and is funded by Dormant Accounts.
The Integrated Care System will bring together a range of partners to take collective responsibility for planning health and social care services, improving health and well-being and reducing health inequalities in Northern Ireland.
Health and social care professionals, working with local councils, the community and voluntary sectors, patients, carers and service users, will plan and deliver health and social care services based on the needs of the local population.
The project aims to look at how we can unite and utilise the collective expertise of VCSE Health and Social Care Organisations, so that we can work effectively in partnership with the DoH and improve health outcomes in NI.
The scoping exercise has 5 phases: 1 Establishing Baselines; 2 Exploring Vision & Values; 3. Building a Framework; 4. Testing Model/s; 5. New Beginnings
Phase 1 – 3 are now complete.
The project has now entered phase 4 and we want to share and test what was captured during the 6 Engagement focus groups which took place between November 2023 and January 2024 (5 in person: Newry, Derry/Londonderry, Fermanagh, Cookstown and Belfast and one online).
During these engagement sessions, representatives from our sector shared their values, thoughts and vision about what will to enable us to partner effectively within the Integrated Care System.
The survey below seeks to summarise and further test that feedback, so that we can co-produce a shared position on the need and potential for a new ‘collective voice model’ to support the sector in this evolving system.
We would be grateful if you could complete survey below by Thursday the 28th of March.
