Second Step is a social-emotional curriculum that helps schools and families encourage the positive behaviors that lead to success both inside and outside the classroom. This program teaches children to manage their own feelings, think about the feelings of others (empathy), and solve problems cooperatively. We have shared information about the program at Curriculum Night, PTA/O meetings, the McKenzie Monitor/Harper Happenings, and classroom newsletters. Second Step Home Links are also sent home from time to time to give parents the opportunity to reinforce the skills and strategies taught in class.

At this time we are asking our parents to complete the brief survey below. Your responses will assist us in planning for future communication and implementation of the program.

Thank you for your assistance!
