The Chamber’s Awards of Distinction program in February, is an excellent way to honor businesses who have been exemplary role models in our community.

All it takes to nominate a business is for you to complete this survey before Friday, November 15th.

After we receive your nomination, we will contact the nominee for further information. Judging will then occur and the winners will be kept top secret until they are announced at the Awards of Distinction on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

* 1. 2024 Athena Award Nominee

Objective: Recognize an individual for professional achievement and community service, and for actively and generously assisting women in their attainment of professional and leadership skills.

Qualifications: Nominee or nominee’s organization/business must be a Chamber member or nominee must have a history of active participation with The Chamber.

* 3. 2024 Collaboration Award Nominee

Objective: Recognizes initiatives, programs, events, or activities that require collaborative efforts of two or more non-profit organizations in our community which may include government, business, education, service groups, the elderly, or other groups working together to promote a strong economy and quality of life in Manitowoc County.

Qualifications: At least one nominee’s organization/business must have been a member of The Chamber throughout 2024.

* 4. 2024 Education Impact Award Nominee

Objective: Recognize an exceptionally dedicated educator who impacted parents, students or the community beyond the scope of the classroom in 2024 while integrating business and community resources to enhance student learning opportunities.

Qualifications: Nominee organization or nominee’s school system must have been a member of The Chamber throughout 2024. Nominee must be an educator in Manitowoc County.

* 5. 2024 Joseph P. Schmitt "Speak-Up" Award Nominee

Objective: Established over 25 years ago to honor the late Chamber Executive, this award recognizes an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the quality of life for citizens of Manitowoc County over a period of time.

Qualifications: Nominee or nominee’s organization must be a Chamber member or nominee must have a history of active participation with The Chamber.

Objective: Recognize a non-profit organization for its dedication to serving our communities in 2024.

Qualifications: Nominee must have been a member of The Chamber throughout 2024. Must be a 501(c)(3) organization.

* 7. 2024 Healthy Workplace Award Nominee

Objective: To recognize a Chamber member business/organization or program for its focus and commitment to promoting health, wellness or safety in our community.

Qualifications: Nominee business must have been a member of The Chamber throughout 2024. Nominee can be a business, retail, industry, non-profit, etc.

* 8. 2024 Small Business of the Year Award Nominee

Objective: Recognize a Manitowoc County Small Business (0-25 employees) for its growth, success, innovation and contribution to the community during 2024.

Qualifications: Nominee business must have been a member of The Chamber throughout 2024.

Objective: Recognize a Manitowoc County Large Business/Industry (26+ Employees) for its growth, success, innovation and contribution to the community during 2024.
