Introduction

Thank you for your interest in applying to Compass Pro Bono's On Board Program supporting Chicago's Cultural Treasures and Laureus Sport for Good Chicago area grantees. Compass is pleased to offer On Board to match professionals and community members with nonprofit boards in these cohorts.

Chicago’s Cultural Treasures are nonprofits with missions enabling the creation, preservation, and dissemination of art stemming from BIPOC traditions, leadership and culture. These 40 BIPOC-led organizations contribute to the history, vibrancy, and identity of Chicago.

Laureus Sport for Good nonprofits use the power of sport as a vehicle for youth development and violence prevention in underserved communities. These 51 nonprofits in the Chicagoland area help remove barriers and increase equity in youth sports.

DEADLINE: Please complete your candidate application by February 23.

To ensure the best board placements, candidates will be interviewed by both Compass and the matched nonprofit. If selected for the cohort, candidates will initially be interviewed by Compass representatives between February 26 - March 18 to help us understand your interests and background. If matched with a nonprofit board, candidates and nonprofits will meet between April and June. Candidates and nonprofits will notify Compass of their decision by the end of June. Board training sessions will be conducted for all candidates in April and May 2024.
