Mathews Spring Community Cleanup 2022 |
RSVP for the cleanup!
Help us clean Mathews roadways for Spring! Pick up our neighborhoods and roadways. The cleanup is scheduled for April 9, 8am to Noon starting at the Mathews County Visitor & Information Center, in the Sibley's General Store, 239 Main Street, Mathews.

In case of rain, the rain date for the fall cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, April 16th, 8am to noon. Group leaders will be notified by email the day before the event.
FALL 2022 Cleanup: November 12
General guidelines:
- The Mathews Visitor Center provides to-go snacks, all equipment, and routes recommendations, plus a post event pizza party.

- All groups must be accompanied by an adult. You are responsible for your own transportation.
- Pick your own route, or do your Adopt-a-Highway road, or we will have a list of roads for you.
- Keep track of how many bags collected and leave them on the side of the highway, out of the way of pedestrian and road traffic.
- What to wear: long pants, waterproof boots, long sleeves, gloves. Bring your own grabbers - limited supply available!
- What we supply: Gloves, Nets, Bags, Vests
