KELC Volunteer Sign-Up 2023

Volunteer to help us manage some cool downtown events.

The Kalamazoo Experiential Learning Center (KELC Events) is a nonprofit organization that coaches college interns to be event managers. In the process, we host a lot of really neat events downtown and every one of them requires volunteers.

This form is allows you to sign up to volunteer for one event with us. The dates below are when the events are being hosted. Each event has its own event details, so when you let us know when you can volunteer, we will send you information specific to that event. Whether you need volunteer hours for school or need community service hours, we can help. With over 60 events annually in Kalamazoo, we need help for a variety of tasks.

KalamaTopia: November 3 - Outdoors Maker's Mart. Booths are set up across from the Kalamazoo Mall and shoppers can browse while enjoying warm adult beverages in the cold!

Digital Media Workshops: A networking conference where speakers discuss all things social media and digital marketing.

Santa's Workshop: November 25 - December 23 - Children have the chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus in Downtown Kalamazoo, tell them their Christmas wishes, and design holiday-themed crafts every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the holiday season.

Kalamazoo Holiday Parade: November 18 - As the official kick-off to the holiday season, The Kalamazoo Holiday Parade is a grassroots, community celebration designed to connect our nonprofit organizations, businesses, and associations with the general public, providing holiday entertainment. The parade is designed to celebrate the community and holiday spirit.

KDPS Safe Halloween Block Party: October 31st - A spooky block party in Kalamazoo's Edison Neighborhood, children dress in full Halloween attire, trunk-o-treat, play carnival games, and hangout with Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers.
