You are being asked to participate in this study because you are a student in the participating CCS0 course. Your responses will help inform course developers about students' experiences in the course. You can refuse to participate in the study at any time or elect to terminate your participation in the survey at any time. Some sample survey items include:

To what extent are you confident you could:Model a real-world phenomenon (e.g. the path of a falling object)using mathematics?
Possible societal benefits of the study include: a) better understanding of underrepresentation of minorities and women in computing b) information regarding student development of mathematical thinking. There is no specific benefit to you other than the satisfaction of expressing your views/perceptions of the project and potentially improving the project’s implementation and outcomes for yourself and others.
Although sensitive questions are not planned in the survey, a possible risk is if you perceive a question to be too sensitive or to create feelings of discomfort. You can control this somewhat by declining to answer the question.
