City of Jacksonville - Community Development Needs Assessment 2019-2024
The City of Jacksonville Community Engagement Department is preparing its Five Year Consolidated Plan for program years 2019-2024. Over the next five years the City expects to receive approximately $1.8 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds will be used to address the City's most pressing needs in the areas of Affordable Housing, Homelessness, Suitable Living Environment, Special Needs Housing, Public Services, and Special Populations. Funding must be targeted to households earning less than 80% of the area median income. The results of this survey will help us identify the priority needs in our City and how CDBG funds should be invested. Please assist us by completing this brief survey. 1) Consider the needs in the City of Jacksonville and how they can be improved; 2) Rank each need, in each section, in order of its priority.
For citizens without a computer, the survey may be printed, completed and returned to City of Jacksonville, Community Development Division, 815 New Bridge Street, PO Box 128, Jacksonville NC 28541-0128. Surveys may also be faxed to 910-938-6528. Questions about this survey may be directed to Tracy Jackson, Community Engagement Manager at 910-938-5269 or tjackson@jacksonvillenc.gov.
