Drews Avenue Experience Survey

Your feedback is sought on changes made to Drew’s Avenue in Whanganui. This short survey will take 5 mins and will help the Whanganui District Council review the projects and decide on the next steps.

In 2021 a semi-permanent “living street” was installed on Drews Avenue. Changes that took place were:
· New seating areas for dining, play and performance, with shelter, lighting and planting
· New cycle amenities that include bike racks, a bike repair station and a water fountain
· Local artistic road mural and painted pathways to the riverfront and nearby attractions, a trail of interactive artworks and musical installations which offer historical context and invites people to explore the area
· 22 car parks were removed to make space for the changes above

Here are some before and after images of the changes made by the project.

Whanganui District Council is reviewing the impact of these changes and would like your views on what this area is like now.
