In the study below, some of the pictures are drawings showing different degrees of shadowing in the face. To conduct this study in the most effective manner, we wanted to show you these examples of faces so that you may understand and better assess the pictures and what we are testing.

The first picture shows a female face followed by the same picture showing the approximate location of the cheek shadowing that is naturally present in all faces. Notably, you normally wouldn't pause to identify these variations of shadowing.
