2024 SYCRPC Community Survey |
Introduction
This tool was developed to gather public input for the Region's comprehensive planning process. A comprehensive plan is a municipal policy document that guides appointed and elected officials' decision-making regarding land use, transportation, housing, economic development, and the adequate provision of community services and utility infrastructure.
The Southern York County Region Planning Commission developed and adopted a Regional Comprehensive Plan in 2010. Fourteen (14) years later, the Planning Commission is creating a new plan which will update and replace the 2010 Comprehensive Plan.
Public input is critical in the development of a comprehensive plan and this survey tool will be used to collect public opinion to then be used to inform the new plan’s goals, priorities, and strategies.
The survey consists of 52 questions regarding the themes of the 2024 Southern York County Region Comprehensive Plan, as identified below:
- Preserving Community Character
- Access to Active Transportation
- Economic Development through Agritourism and Trail Towns Tourism
- Regionalization and Consolidation of Services
- Being an Aging-In Community
Completion of the survey is estimated to take 15 minutes.
