The Rotary Club of Milwaukee offers you many ways to get involved in the club, in the community and even around the globe. Take a look at the options and let us know how you’d like to participate in the coming year. If you want to continue your current committee participation, we’d still like you to complete the form to “re-up”.

Finance Chair: Bill Coleman
Approves budget for the Club and monitors Club finances. Meets as needed.

Marketing & Communication Co-Chairs: James Madlom & Dave Murphy
Considers ways to enhance visibility of our Club and improve communication with club members. Meeting time TBD. (Virtual)

Member Engagement Co-Chairs: Jodie Ristau and Meg McKenna
Focuses on engaging all members to ensure a positive Rotary experience. Runs New Member Orientations. Meets the third Wednesday of the month at 2:00 pm. (Virtual)

Membership Co-Chairs: Antoine Carter & Patrick Fennelly
Seeks out suitable prospective members, reviews applications for membership and makes recommendations to the Board. Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 2:00 pm. (Virtual)

People of Action Chair: Mary Bolich
Join a team of writers to interview and create profiles of fellow Rotarians that provide an in-depth look at how they are making a difference in our community. Two writing assignments per year.

Rotary Person of the Year Chair: Nancy Sennett
Selects the Person of the Year and plans a program to celebrate the awarded recipient. Meets as needed.

* 6. STUDENT FOCUSED COMMITTEES

RCM Scholarship Committee Co-Chairs: Steve Chevalier and Jon Dehlinger
Coordinates the full range of activities that support our scholarship program and the 25 students it serves. Meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am. (In-person/Virtual)

Mentor an RCM Scholar
Each RCM scholar is assigned a Rotary mentor who guides the student academically, professionally and personally throughout their college career. The committee thoughtfully interviews mentor candidates to ensure a good fit for each student.

Forward Scholars The Club is partnering with Forward Scholars, a local nonprofit, to provide tutoring opportunities for our members. Forward Scholars has a proven track record of helping Kindergarten through 3rd grade students in Milwaukee Public Schools reach grade level in reading. Rotarian tutors are paired with students with whom they meet up to twice per week for an hour with the guidance of a site coordinator who develops each day’s lessons. Forward Scholars can create a tutoring schedule to fit individual needs.

UW Milwaukee Lubar College of Business Mentorship Program UW Milwaukee’s Lubar College of Business Mentorship Program is designed to help transition diverse and first-generation students from the classroom to the workforce by providing soft-skill development and by creating connections between students and the Milwaukee business community. The mentors make a one-year commitment and are expected to meet quarterly with the students.

Done-in-a-Day Chair: Charlotte John-Gomez
Identifies a variety of fun, worthwhile opportunities in the community that can be "Done-In-A-Day" or in just a few hours. Meets as needed.

Environment & Ecology Chair: Margaret Crawford
Leads efforts of the club to enhance Milwaukee’s natural environment. Meets the third Tuesday at 1:20 pm. (In-person/Virtual)

Maritime Chair: Dan Nelson
Established to promote public access to Milwaukee’s lakefront. Produces the Live @ the Lakefront summer concert series. Meets as needed. (In-person at WMC)

Understanding Structural Racism Co-Chairs: Beth Heller & Paula Penebaker Build awareness and understanding of structural racism as a catalyst for club members to take action. Meets as needed. (Virtual)

Veterans and Military Service Support Chair: Jonathan Ward Promotes awareness and supports of veterans and the military community. Meets fourth Tuesday of the month at 11:15 am. (In-Person at WMC)

Peacebuilder Chair: Carol Alexander-Barnes & Jon Ward
Assist in accomplishing our Rotary mission to "advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace." Administer the A.D. Robertson Fund for the United Nations. Meetings TBD.

Rotary International Foundation Co-chairs: Pat Cronin, Tom Gale, and Janine Kolbeck
Promotes support and raises money for the Rotary International Foundation, especially Polio Plus. Meets as needed.

World Community Service Chair: Jerry Stepaniak
Identifies and funds self-sustaining international projects particularly in Guatemala. Meets the third Wednesday of each month at 11:00am. (Virtual)

Fresh 40 Chair: TBD
Supports the FRESH 40 Art exhibit and sale, with proceeds benefitting the Rotary Club of Milwaukee. Meets as needed. (Virtual)

Scholarship Golf Classic Co-chairs: Jean Casey, John Ferguson and Mike Kellman
Plans the annual Scholarship Golf Classic, benefiting the RCM Scholarship program. In charge of ensuring sunny weather. Meets the second Wednesday of each month at 2:00 pm. (Virtual)

Social Co-Chairs: Leslie Hauser and Jeff Nelson
Plans after hour social activities for the Rotary Club of Milwaukee at varying local venues. Meets as needed. (Virtual)

Tyrotarian Tours Chair: Jerry Stepaniak
Identities and plans tours of interesting and fun community assets. Meets as needed. (Virtual)
