County Seeks Input on New Business Financial Assistance Program

County Seeks Input on New Business Financial Assistance Program

Dear Chamber Members:

On behalf of the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners, the La Pine Chamber of Commerce is seeking input on a new financial assistance program that will help businesses and organizations negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funding for this program has been set aside by the Commissioners from the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 to assist businesses and organizations that have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. We are reaching out to our membership to gather information that will help the Commissioners determine the level of pandemic-driven economic hardship experienced within our business community.

To assist with your responses, here is the general criteria
for use of these federal funds:

- Eligibility is tied to the negative economic impacts resulting from or exacerbated by the public health emergency that has not been funded under another relief program.

-  Back up documentation supporting the request will be required to be submitted vs prior grants where the information was required to be available on request.

If your business has been negatively impacted by the public health emergency, please respond to the following questions no later than September 8th
1.Has your business or organization experienced negative economic impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, how?
2.Provide an explanation of the financial impact net of any financial assistance previously received.
3.Would you apply for an economic assistance grant from the County, given the criteria listed above?
