The ASU is seeking member feedback regarding the settlement offer that Council has tabled regarding the Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
There has been a round of update meetings this week however, we are aware that not all members were able to attend, as such we havre generated this survey to ensure your voice is heard!

Reductions
Transfer of Business - New clause that REMOVES the right to redundancy entitlements when services are contracted to a new business as has occurred for home care workers. If this clause goes through it will mean that you won't be entitled to a redundancy in this situation;

- Redundancy entitlement - Reducing the redeployment period from 8 weeks to 4 weeks will result in a potential loss of possible redeployment opportunities;
- Casual Employment- Right to request to convert extended from 6 months to 12 months. This would an additional 6 months prior to a casual employee being able to convert to a permanent employee.
Improvements
- Service Recognition Day - Additional day after 10 years continuous service;
- Superannuation on unpaid portion of maternity leave - $300 once off payment (pro rata for part time staff);
- Bereavement leave - Increase to 4 days.
Wording changes
- Personal leave clause to reworded - No loss or improvement to condition;
- On - Call Availability & Standby - Rewording with no loss or improvement to condition.
Wages & Terms of Agreement
- 3 year Agreement;
- 2% or $22 whichever is a greater increase pro rata for part time staff payable from 1 July 2019 / 2020 / 2021.
Other
- Local Work Area Appendices - Subject to further discussion at this point only significant changes are proposed within the Aquatic Centre Appendix.
