Principal Investigator: Elizabeth Capezuti, PhD, RN, FAAN, Professor, School of Nursing, Hunter College

Poor quality of sleep is common among those with advanced serious illness. Several interventions have been demonstrated to improve sleep, however, it is not known the extent to which these are used and how healthcare professionals perceive the benefit or the feasibility of using these interventions.

You are being asked to participate in this research study because you are a palliative/hospice or geriatric health care professional. The purpose of this research study is to describe palliative/hospice or geriatric health care professional’s perceptions of non-pharmacological sleep interventions as well as your educational needs regarding sleep. If you agree to participate, we will ask you to complete an online survey (“Non-Pharmacological Sleep Interventions”) that takes about 9 minutes to complete. There are no risks related to taking this survey. All information collected is anonymous since we are not collecting any personally identifiable information. Your participation in this research is voluntary. If you have any questions, you can contact Dr. Capezuti at ec773@hunter.cuny.edu or 212-396-7155.
