Introduction

The Government’s Department for Innovation, Science and Technology (DSIT) has asked UKTIN to find out how we all might collectively improve public services and industry productivity in the UK through the better usage and adoption of advanced wireless technologies*. UKTIN is the innovation network for the UK telecoms sector bringing together industry, government stakeholders and academia.

This survey will take between about 5 minutes if you’re quick, or 20 minutes if you add lots of comments. Taking part will help us to obtain a snapshot view of your area of expertise and understand what might be done to speed up adoption.

Your responses are invaluable to us, and will be collated and contribute to a report to Government policy makers. All the key findings will be published.

*by advanced wireless technologies we mean the whole range of technologies – including public network 5G and 4G, private networks, WiFi, satellite, and all forms of Internet of Things technologies, such as Narrowband IoT or LoRaWAN. For this survey we are focusing on challenges and barriers to adoption rather than the form of technology.
