Infrastructure Survey

Introduction

In this survey the following definitions are used:

Maintenance – means winter snow clearing and surface treatments, plus, summer activities to address normal “wear and tear” such as grading, smoothing, and patching.

Upgrades – means needed repair or replacement projects, improvements to allow for RTAC weights, realignment of intersections to enable safer turning, widening or paving shoulders, and so forth.

New Investment – means replacing light-controlled intersections with interchanges, twinning single-lane highways, adding passing lanes to single lane highways, adding overpasses or underpasses, and other major projects that expand the capacity of the highway system.

Segment – means a length of highway between two points, or a bridge, or both.

Question Title

Part of this survey asks you to think about what your top picks are for maintenance, upgrades, and new investment in different regions of Manitoba. For these questions, please refer to the following map, but please leave out the Perimeter Highway, and the cities of Winnipeg and Brandon, as we will ask separate questions about them.
