As part of the DRAFT Equity and Excellence Strategy, one of the system initiatives is Digital innovation in teaching and learning and embedding future-focused learning practices that connect students and teachers across Queensland.
The IMPACT Centre team will make an important contribution to this initiative, and to support this, it is necessary to evolve the IMPACT Centre’s operations from the start of 2023. However, to ensure continuity, all IMPACT Centre student programs and professional learning networks will continue to operate until December 2022.
As part of the evolution of this work, in 2023, delivery of the Years 3-4-5-6 Technologies subjects to schools who participated in 2022 will continue at no cost. In addition, capability development across the system in digital and online pedagogies and modes of delivery will still be offered.
At this stage however, it is anticipated that the following programs will be paused in 2023: Student projects – literacy, numeracy, critical thinking and STEM series and professional networks – Aspiring Thinkers, Collective IMPACT, Digital IMPACT, STEM IMPACT.
