International shipping
A possible solution for international orders
IndieCommerce sales to the EU have increased 105% over the past 2 months, compared to the same period in 2019. Several IndieCommerce stores have asked us to look into offering shipping alternatives for International orders.
One service we are considering would require bookstores to first ship international orders to a reshipping location in either New York or Los Angeles. The shipping fee for the International segment would then be assessed based on the weight, size and destination of the packages.
The pricing for this service would be competitive with market rates. Pricing tables would be made available to your store so that you can determine what to charge your customers for shipping at checkout.
A major advantage of this service: VAT tax collection at the point of delivery. This means that your store will not be required to collect VAT on your website. Order tracking is also included as a part of this service.
