AMCP: Market Insights Best Practice: Optimizing the Management of Inherited Blood Disorders |
INTRODUCTION
YOUR INSIGHTS ARE NEEDED!
Over the past two years, The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) has conducted programming in Inherited Blood Disorders (hemophilia, beta-thalassemia, sickle cell). The first program brought together Key opinion leaders to lead education on the disease, unmet clinical needs, and treatment, including pipeline products to a highly qualified group representing health plans, integrated delivery networks, employers, advocacy, and a government organization. The group uncovered many unmet needs across the diseases, along with management recommendations published in the Journal of Managed Care and Specialty Pharmacy (JMCP) JMCP Outsert.
As the next step in this multiphase program, AMCP is collecting insights from health centers specializing in the care and treatment of those with inherited bleeding disorders and health plans on management considerations for inherited blood disorders. Information collected from all sources will be shared and discussed with participants at a follow-up expert panel held in October. AMCP will communicate findings to all groups participating in the survey and managed care decision-makers via a JMCP peer-reviewed supplement and a National webinar.
We thank you for your time in supporting this critical initiative.
