You are being asked to be a volunteer in a research study.
What is this study about?
The purpose of this research is to learn from you about how we can execute the Hydropower Vision Roadmap. The information you provide will be used to identify the opportunities and challenges for hydropower community engagement, research, and development.

What will we ask you to do?
This online survey will ask about your priorities related to hydropower, as well as progress in those areas. The survey will take approximately to 15 minutes to complete, and you may skip any questions.

What are the risks of being in this study?
There are no anticipated risks to participating in this study other than data loss. If data loss should occur, the risk would be minimal since the topic is not sensitive and we are not collecting personal information.

Will being in this study help me in any way?
You are not likely to personally benefit in any direct way from joining this study, and you will not be paid for your participation; however, your participation may help shape future priorities for hydropower community engagement, research, and development.

How will my information be kept confidential?
All efforts will be made to keep your responses confidential, but total confidentially cannot be guaranteed. We will use a survey platform (e.g., SurveyMonkey) to collect and forward your anonymous responses to us. We will not receive any information that can identify you or other participants. We will download your responses to a secure file that will be stored on a PNNL password protected computer. There is no plan to delete the survey data. We may share our findings in publications, presentations, or a public website. If we do, the results will be aggregated by sector (e.g., non-governmental organization).

Taking part is voluntary
Your participation in this study is voluntary. You do not have to be in this study if you don’t want to be. You have the right to change your mind and leave the survey at any time or skip any question you do not wish to answer. However, once you submit your completed survey, we will not be able to remove your survey responses from our data because they do not include identifiable information.

Who can answer my questions about the study?
