HueArts NYS Survey Welcome Welcome to the HueArts New York State survey! HueArts NYS is a research project to create a comprehensive online Map and Directory for and about New York-based arts entities led by, founded by, and centering Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and all People of Color. HueArts NYS also aims to spur action by releasing a Brown Paper with recommendations for change to support POC arts entities across the state. Museum Hue has already developed a Map and Directory, and a Brown Paper for New York City, and is now looking to hear from arts entities founded and led by People of Color outside of NYC to understand the unique cultural arts landscape in New York State. We welcome any POC-founded and led art entity, whether you’re a brand new collective or a cultural institution with decades of history, to complete this survey and become a part of HueArts NYS. Some of the information collected in this survey will be shared publicly in the HueArts NYS online Map and Database. Information such as your entity’s name, website, and address will be shared. Throughout the survey, questions will clearly indicate when your answers will be shared in the Map and Database with a pushpin icon (📍). Otherwise, the data collected in this survey will not be shared in such a way that your responses can be traced back to you or your entity. The results will be aggregated and shared to paint a picture of the arts and culture landscape throughout New York State.Questions are divided into 5 sections: demographic, financial support, staff capacity and livelihood, programming, and community & space. Approximate time to take the survey is 35-40 minutes. Upon completing this survey, your arts entity will receive an honorarium of $75 for your time. Arts entities are encouraged to share this survey with fellow arts entities founded and led by People of Color outside of NYC. If you have any questions, please contact Mia Rubin at hueartsnys@museumhue.com.NOTE: Survey respondents must be familiar with budget and personnel information for your entity to complete this form. We also request that each arts entity only complete this survey once. Next
