Hudson County and its municipalities are in the process of updating the Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) in order to be eligible for federal grant funding for public and private mitigation projects. The HMP provides a “blueprint” by which participating jurisdictions can make coordinated, cost-effective efforts toward reducing losses from natural and human-caused disasters.

The following survey is designed to help identify general needs for hazard mitigation and resiliency within Hudson County from your perspective, as well as to identify specific projects that may be included in the mitigation plan.

Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions and provide feedback on potential mitigation that affects your assets, infrastructure, and/or services within Hudson County. Provide as much detail as possible to support your choice in the comments box. Where possible, identify specific areas that need to be improved and your suggestions for possible improvements, especially if there are other important issues that you feel are not covered by this survey.

Please also consider taking the Problem Area survey, which permits users to identify via GPS point location specific areas where hazard-related problems occur, including locations which regularly flood.

The Hudson County HMP Planning Partnership thanks you for taking the time to participate in this information-gathering process.
