On Arrival 

The Himalayan Database is a living record of all expeditions to expedition peaks in Nepal. With the arrival of the first American expedition to Mount Everest in 1963, the late Miss Elizabeth Hawley, who came to Nepal as a journalist, started keeping the records.

In 2004, the digital version of the Himalayan Database was created and has been continuously updated since then. If you are an individual climber, an expedition leader or operator going to an expedition peak in Nepal, your contribution to the Himalayan Database will be essential to keep the records alive. 

Please be reminded that you can download the full version of the Himalayan Database for FREE from our website at www.himalayandatabase.com.  Please be insured that your contact information will be stored securely and will not be disclosed to any other person other than the builder of the database.
