MCA Piloting High School Teachers Application 2015-2016 |
Model Cornerstone Assessment Piloting: Teacher Application
Thank you for your interest in piloting the new National Core Arts Standards Model Cornerstone Assessments (MCA's). The National Coalition for Core Arts Standards (NCCAS) has received funding from the National Endowment for the Arts to pilot the Model Cornerstone Assessments (MCAs) in high school settings during the 2015-2016 school year.
If you are selected to pilot an assessment with your class, you will be responsible for participating in online training prior to piloting; piloting the assessment(s) in your school; selecting student work samples based on the assessment; and uploading those assessments into a web-based application for review by the Coalition. You will be trained in and expected to have an understanding of the technology required to upload student work, parameters for capturing images and or/audio samples of student work and technical expectations for student work samples.
Please note that we will ask you to have your administrator approve your application so we know you have the support of your schools for participating in this pilot project. Additional information, including permissions to share student work, will be required if you are selected to participate.
