Participation in the Jersey Fresh Farm to School Recognition & "Best in New Jersey" Award Program will promote your school’s efforts to serve Jersey Fresh produce and support local agriculture. By completing this application your school will be included in the Jersey Fresh Farm to School Recognition Program. As part of our School Recognition Program, your school will be featured on our website, and also included  in a press release about NJ Farm to School efforts.


To be considered for the "Best in New Jersey" Farm to School Award:
  • Schools must administer, in good standing, the National School Lunch Program.
  • Schools must provide documentation that they have served farm produce / products in the school or school district 
  • Schools must provide documentation of education and outreach concerning the nutritional importance of fresh produce and food products and the connection of a school or school district to farms and farmers in the State
 
The "Best in New Jersey" Farm to School Award will be given to the school that best exemplifies Farm to School initiatives. The award will be presented to the winning school during Jersey Fresh Farm to School Week, September 26-30, 2022.
