Connection to information and support is a critical factor in the journey to healing for people who have long COVID. Long COVID is a term to describe the effects of COVID-19 that continue for weeks or months beyond the initial illness. Symptoms typically appear in two groups: 1) respiratory, such as a cough and feeling breathless, but also includes fatigue and headaches; or 2) affecting many parts of the body, including the heart, brain and the gut.
