Health system reform is the number one topic in the United States Congress today. Both the House of Representatives and the Senate have passed legislation to reform the system. Inconsistencies in the two bills require Congress to form a Conference Committee and reconcile the bills into one legislative proposal. The Conference Committee is expected to convene in January to begin this process. We need to gauge your opinions as the North Carolina Medical Society continues to work to represent physicians and their patients in this debate.
