OVERVIEW
The Victorian Volunteer of the Year Award is designed to recognise contributions made o Victorian golf by hard working and dedicated individuals at club, district or state level.
The majority of Victoria's golf clubs, districts and the Victorian Golf League (VGL) clubs are significantly assisted by volunteers who contribute their time, knowledge, skills and enthusiasm in a variety of ways and many over long periods of time. This award is an opportunity to provide recognition of those individuals to the broader golf community.

CRITERIA
Awards are based on the significance of the contribution of the volunteer. Areas of contribution may include, but are not limited to:
- Junior golf development
- Adult participation
- Membership initiatives
- Marketing initiatives
- Administration/ Committee involvement
- Golf History & Research
- Rules of Golf
- Course Rating/ Handicapping
- Tournament Administration
- General promotion of the game
Nominees must be a financial member of a Victoria affiliated club of Golf Australia.
Club, District, League and GA paid employees are ineligible to be nominated for an award.
NOMINATION PROCESS
Golf Australia (Victoria) will call for nominations from its members. The nominating party will be required to provide a summary of the individual's achievements and years of service and it is requested a color photo of the nominee be submitted.
All nominations shall be submitted via the online nomination form and accompanied by a supporting letter from the Golf Club (Management or Director).
Nominations close 5pm 30 September 2024
SELECTION PROCESS
Each nomination will be reviewed by the Award Selection Panel wo will determine four finalists and the winner in each category. The Award Selection Panel will consist of representatives from various industry bodies.
AWARD PRESENTATION
The announcement of Victorian Volunteer of the Year will be made at the 2024 Victorian Golf Industry Awards Dinner on 31 October 2024 at Southern Golf Club.
A representative from each of the finalists will be invited to the Victorian Golf Industry Awards dinner as guests of Golf Australia (Victoria).
Please note: Awards night invitation for finalists does not include accommodation or travel allowance.
