1. About the Festival of Learning 2025
Between 3 June and 12 June 2025, London Funders’ annual Festival of Learning will be taking place. The Festival is an opportunity for our members to come together, and share learning, experiences and ideas for how we ensure funding in the capital is joined-up, effective and equitable.
Our previous Festivals have collectively brought together over 2,000 people from funding organisations, across 100+ sessions, to share learning on everything from embedding intersectionality in funder practice to collaboratively changing systems and so much more.
As ever, we’re keen to bring inspiration and learning from across all sectors – we want to hear from friends, funders, change-makers and communities. The Festival is an opportunity for you to share your learning, lead discussions, provide challenge and be inspired by colleagues across the funding community.
We are open to different themes and topics – all we ask is that you think through how your learning is relevant to other funders and how they can draw on it. If you can, we also encourage you to join forces with other London Funders’ members or organisations that might have similar learning to share. To help you think about your session, we recommend you look at what London Funders’ have covered through our learning programme in the past year, including topics like participation, power, place, systems change, collaboration and risk. We’re keen to build on this learning so if you think that you could run a session that offers a new perspective and lessons on these themes, we want to hear from you. For more ideas, you can also look at key learning that emerged from last year's Festival of Learning here.
Please use this form to express your interest in hosting a session by 24 March, 2025, 10.00am. While Festival attendees must be London Funders members, you are welcome to submit an idea for a session even if you’re not a member.
You do not need to have a finalised concept or agenda for how you will run your session but we do ask that you think through how your learning can be useful to other funders and what type of session you want to run – i.e., is your learning more focused on practical implementation or is it about broader concepts, like systemic change, inequality or sharing power? Will you require attendees to actively participate or is your session an opportunity for attendees to listen and reflect on your learning?
If you have an idea but are not sure how you can best structure it in a session or have questions about the process of submitting your idea, we’re here to help! Please feel free to get in touch with our Learning and Communications Manager, Malene Bratlie at malene.bratlie@londonfunders.org.uk.
