You have been invited to participate in a research study entitled "Public Life in Jersey City". The purpose of this study is to identify different elements of public life in Jersey City that are strong, or need to be improved. You were selected as a possible participant in this study because you reside in the City of Jersey City. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a 10-minute survey online or in paper.
The survey is designed to understand priorities for public life in Jersey City by asking about attendance and perception of public events and services in Jersey City. It will take about 10 minutes. You will be asked to answer questions about habits, consumption, and yourself. No benefits accrue to you for answering the survey, but your responses will be used to identify current needs of the community. Any discomfort or inconvenience to you will be minimal, but they are not expected to be any greater that anything you encounter in everyday life. Data will be collected using the Internet and in-person; no guarantees can be made regarding the interception of data sent via the Internet by any third party. Confidentiality will be maintained to the degree permitted by the technology used.
Your decision whether or not to participate will not affect your future relationships with Saint Peter’s University. If you decide to participate, you are free to stop at any time; you may also skip questions if you don't want to answer them or you may choose not to return the survey.
