The Foothills of the Blue Ridge region includes Patrick and Henry Counties and the City of Martinsville. The goal of the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Outdoor Recreation Plan is to expand outdoor recreation and tourism in the region through improved access to water-based recreation, developing trails for all ages and abilities, and creating opportunities for regional projects. These efforts are designed to boost the local economy, enhance the visitor experience, improve quality of life for residents, and strengthen local resources to support lasting growth in the region.
