Lead and Unit HSEEP Instructor Workshop

If you would like to be able to facilitate, schedule and support HSEEP education in your jurisdiction for your internal and external exercise partners then you need to attend this workshop!!  Changes in the L-0146 HSEEP (version 13.1) course include streamlining the course from a 3-day to a 2-day face-to-face course.  
 
The HSEEP Instructors Workshop will also cover: 
     -- HSEEP Lead and Unit Instructor requirements
     -- Advantages of becoming a Unit or Lead HSEEP Instructor
    -- Course materials and student requirements. 

The workshop will also, in detail, review each of the revised 6 HSEEP course Modules and associated activities.

FEMA HSEEP facilitator requirements include completion of the FEMA HSEEP L-0146 face-to-face course and submission of supporting documents, presented prior to becoming a Lead or Unit Instructor.  If you have completed the HSEEP L-0146 course but have not completed and submitted  ALL Instructor requirement documents you can still attend the Workshop.  However you will NOT be able to facilitate HSEEP Modules until ALL Pre-Instructor qualifications are met.

Finally, HSEEP Unit Instructors are expected to have a thorough understanding of HSEEP policies, procedures and terminology as well as direct experience in the design, development, conduct, evaluation and improvement planning for exercises.  FEMA recommends a minimum of one to three years of field experience in designing, developing, conducting, and evaluating Homeland Security / emergency management exercises or appointment as a Training Officer, Exercise Officer or State Administrative Agency (SAA) Training Point of Contact (TPOC).  Can you fulfill FEMAs field experience requirement?

Reminder: You can attend the workshop IF you have successfully completed the face-to-face HSEEP L-0146 course even if you have not completed all the other required FEMA Pre-Instructor courses.  However you will not be able to co-facilitate a HSEEP course until ALL required documents are properly submitted.  HSEEP Instructors certificates of completion can be submitted prior to or at the beginning of the workshop.  Documents should be scanned into one PDF file prior to sending.
