ADA Transition Plan Survey
The Town of Morehead City is completing an ADA Transition Plan. This plan will look at challenges with accessibility and ways to improve access to Town services, buildings, sidewalks and streets. This survey will guide the ADA Transition Plan and help to identify areas for improving accessibility throughout the community.
This is just one way to let the Town know about accessibility in Morehead City. The Town will be hosting future opportunities for the community to provide input on where to improve access to sidewalks, multi-use paths, water accesses, parks, services and buildings.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Please fill out the short 15 question survey which should take 5-10 minutes to complete.
“Using” refers to rolling, pushing, walking, jogging, using mobility devices or any movement in the public right of way not designated for vehicular traffic specifically.
"Accessibility" refers to a site, facility, work environment, service, or program that is easy to approach, enter, operate, participate in, and/or use safely and with dignity by a person with a disability.
"Multi-use pathway" is defined as a physically separated pathway from motor vehicle traffic which can be either within the highway right-of-way or within an independent right-of-way. Multi-use pathways include bicycle paths, rail-trails or other facilities built for bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
Please keep these terms in mind as you answer the survey questions. We appreciate your feedback!
