Incoming Freshmen
There are 22 credits required for graduation:
4 years of English
4 years of Math
3 years of Science
3 years of History
1 year of PE/Health
1 year of CTE or Fine Art
6 Electives of your choice
The following classes are required for all freshmen entering River Valley High School.
English ( 9 or Honors 9)
Math (Algebra 1 or Honors Algebra 2)
Science (Environmental Science or Honors Environmental Science)
PE/Health
Your English, Math, and Science classes will be determined by your 8th-grade teacher’s recommendation.
These required courses take up four of the six academic periods offered each day. Therefore, as a freshman, you have the opportunity to select two elective classes to complete your schedule. You will select your top 2 elective choices and a 3rd alternate using this form.
