Award Specifications:
- The amount to be awarded is for (2) two semesters; half of the funds are designated for the fall semester and the other half for the spring semester.
- The committee has a right to increase or decrease the amount of the scholarship determined by available funds.
Student Eligibility:
In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship he/she:

- must be a US citizen
- a Louisiana resident
- be eligible to enter into the clinical portions of the nursing program in the fall semester or already be enrolled in the clinical portion
- have a 2.5 GPA
- must attend UL Lafayette or LSU-Eunice.
In order for a student to receive the second portion of the scholarship, he/she must complete the fall semester as a full-time student (full-time status determined by academic entity) and have a minimum 2.5 semester GPA.
Scholarship Selection Committee:
The Committee will consist of Woman’s Foundation Inc. Board of Directors members as appointed to the Scholarship Committee by the President of the Board each year.
The Selection Committee will meet annually between June - September to select the next school year’s recipient. The prior spring semester grades will be made available to the committee for review during the selection process.
Scholarship Administration:
One-half of the amount awarded will be disbursed to one or more student(s) at the beginning of the fall semester and a second half of the amount awarded will be disbursed at the beginning of the subsequent spring semester.
The scholarship will require that the recipient(s) post a minimum 2.5 GPA as a full-time student (full-time status to be determined by academic entity) during the fall semester of the scholarship year in order to validate the second half of the scholarship payment. The committee has a right to modify administration of scholarship funds.
By submitting an application, student authorizes their school, LSU Eunice or UL Lafayette to release the above information, including transcript, to scholarship committees. In addition, student also authorizes their school to release subsequence grade reports to those selection committees requiring it for continued assistance. Student also understands incomplete applications may not be considered.
