Purpose
To support the mission and goals of the Kansas Governor’s Council on Wellness by recognizing and promoting exemplary contributions to health and fitness in Kansas.
Eligible Nominees
People and groups that can be considered for recognition are volunteers, schools, communities, employers, media organizations, and policy makers who have made positive contributions to health and well-being.
Recognition
Every year, we will honor one exceptional person and one remarkable organization in Kansas who have shown outstanding dedication to promoting health, fitness, and wellness. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, at the Community Health Promotion Summit.

- An urban planner who focuses on creating safe and accessible areas for physical activity in different neighborhoods.

- A school or business that introduces policies, activities, or structures to support healthy eating, physical activity, and tobacco-free living.
- A local community that implements policies, programs, and facilities for physical activity, healthy foods, and smoke-free spaces.
- A local store that responds to the community's need for better access to nutritious foods.
