Data and Safety Monitoring Board Survey

The Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance (Georgia CTSA) is a partnership of Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine, University of Georgia, and Georgia Institute of Technology. The partner institutions of the Georgia CTSA leverage our complementary strengths to accelerate clinical and translational education, research, and community engagement to impact health in Georgia and beyond.

The Georgia CTSA is looking to establish a registry of those willing to volunteer on a Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) based upon your answers in the survey. This survey will provide us information as to your previous experience (if any) serving on a DSMB. We will contact you based upon your answers below. Creation of this registry will make it easier for you and others to establish and utilize a DSMB when needed.

Responsibilities of the DSMB include:
1. Advise investigators and sponsors on the safety of actual and potential
human subjects.

2. Evaluate research data and unanticipated problems to ensure participant
safety and research integrity.

3. Provide recommendations to investigators regarding the performance of
overall study procedures as necessary.
