* Purpose
The Gap Year Association mission is “Maximizing the potential of our next generation through accessible and meaningful gap year opportunities.” In order to realize this vision, we need higher education on our team! We want our students to know all about applying to college, getting accepted, and taking their gap year in an intentional way. With your help, we can guide students with this very important goal-setting.

Significance
GYA seeks collaboration with higher education professionals like you in order to learn about various admissions, gap year, and deferral policies. When students are better informed about the application and admissions process of your institution, we can better equip students for their college experience.

Your Information
If you are interested in reviewing your responses or seeing the aggregate data of this survey, please contact us at info@gapyearassociation.org. We would like to post your institution’s responses on the GYA website so we can share this information with our students and their families. Asking for your name and email address is for our records but will not be posted to the GYA website unless requested.

Risks and Benefits
If you would like to edit your response or withdraw your response entirely, please contact us at info@gapyearassociation.org. This GYA survey is in the highest spirit of supporting gap year students and their families to make informed decisions. We do not perceive any risk in your participation and all institutional data will be handled with the highest integrity. The benefit of your participation in this survey is the help in providing up-to-date and relevant information for students planning their gap years.

Voluntary Participation and Time 
Our survey will ask you up to 28 multiple-choice and short-answer questions. The survey should take you about 10 minutes to complete. We look forward to your responses and your participation is completely voluntary. We do not request nor do we offer any compensation for your participation.
