Museum of the History of Communism Survey

1. Part I: Introduction

On April 17, 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law an act relating to the history of communism (Chapter 2024-102, Laws of Florida). The bill requires the Florida Department of State, “in collaboration with the Department of Education,” to “consult with state and national stakeholders to provide a recommendation to the Legislature, no later than December 1, 2024, on the creation of a museum of the history of communism.”

This survey is intended to gather input from state and national stakeholders on the creation of a museum of the history of communism. Results will be submitted by the Florida Department of State to the Florida Legislature, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Education, as part of its recommendations on the creation of the museum. This survey can be completed by anyone who can access this link.
