Introduction and Activity

This media piece is part of a larger exhibit about changemakers in Colorado called: Small Steps, Big Impact. The exhibit will introduce visitors to Colorado leaders and other changemakers and is intended to inspire visitors to think of themselves and their peers as capable of making change too. This piece will be installed on a large touch-screen with posters from the museum’s collection mounted nearby. The surrounding exhibit will also include information about issues where Coloradans have made significant impacts and issues that are particularly important in Colorado (i.e., Disability Rights, Climate Change, Education etc..)  There will also be a ‘flipbook’ nearby that will include supplemental information about local Colorado organizations doing related work around these issues.

There are many ways to take action on behalf of an issue that you care about. Whatever you do, posters can be a powerful tool for getting your message across. They can be used to educate, call to action, protest or empower and can be shared widely whether they’re pasted on a wall, carried at a march or posted on social media.

This is your chance to make a poster to address an issue that you care about and share your voice with the world!
