2024 Community Quality of Life Assessment |
Welcome to the Quality of Life Survey
Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey. We are conducting this study to better understand the risks and protections in the community for violence, especially sexual violence, their causes, and community assets. Your responses are important to understanding issues that impact our communities. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
This assessment was coordinated and produced by Jana’s Campaign, Options Domestic & Sexual Violence Services, Ellis (Thomas, Russell) County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), the Kansas Department of Health & Environment (KDHE), and the University of Kansas’ Center for Community Health and Development (KU CCHD). It was made possible through funding by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Questions focus on the community's social and physical environment, including specific issue-based topics, housing, safety & security, and support services.
Jana’s Campaign is a national education and violence prevention organization with the single mission of reducing gender and relationship violence. In honor of the late Jana Mackey and other victims and survivors of gender-based violence, Jana’s Campaign delivers educational programs that prevent domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Options Domestic & Sexual Violence Services is a non-profit organization that helps victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, human trafficking, and teen dating violence.
The content of the survey questions should cause no more discomfort than you would experience in your everyday life. Although participation may not benefit you directly, we believe that the information obtained from this study will help us gain a better understanding of community violence, causes, and assets. Your participation is solicited, although strictly voluntary. Your name will not be associated in any way with the findings from the assessment.
Responding to the survey questions indicates your willingness to participate in this assessment and that you are over the age of eighteen.
