Clay Farm Centre, Hobson Square, Trumpington, Cambridge CB2 9FN.

We’re developing our long term plans for healthcare on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, including ways in which we can improve urgent and emergency care at Addenbrooke’s. This is a journey we want to make in partnership with you.

If you – or somebody you care for – has used urgent or emergency care services at Addenbrooke’s in the last 12 months, please join us at this event as we’re keen to learn from your experiences.

During the session you will have the opportunity to hear from our team, and give your views on what matters to you and how we can improve our services.
This event is free to attend, but pre-booking is essential. Please complete the information in this form to confirm your place. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible via cuh.communications@nhs.net so that we can allocate your place to somebody else.

If you are unable to attend the event, but you would like to be kept informed on the project and opportunities for future engagement, please let us know via cuh.communications@nhs.net.

If you have any other questions about the event, please feel free to get in touch.

About Urgent and Emergency Care

Addenbrooke’s has an internationally renowned reputation for delivering expert care whilst taking a leading role in revolutionary clinical advances to shape the future of healthcare. Our community of 13,000 staff and network of life-science and community partners all share a passion for improving people’s lives.

Our beating heart is the services we provide as a local hospital for the half a million people in Cambridge, South and East Cambridgeshire. We’re here for them 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing a critical role in keeping our community healthy.

However, there are many challenges facing our hospitals - and the wider NHS. Every year there are 130,000 attendances in our Emergency Department, and this is rising. More people are living longer with conditions which require access to complex treatments and more personalised care – made possible through new and targeted treatments.

We know we must work differently if we are to meet these challenges and improve our services for our community of patients, staff and partners, ensuring urgent and emergency care services are delivered so that patients receive the care they need at the right place and at the right time, both in and out of hospital.

This is a journey we will take hand in hand with our community of patients, staff and partners.

Please note that this event is not part of a formal consultation to change services, but the start of a wider programme of patient engagement to support this work.
