2024 Nonprofit Agency Employee SSDI Survey |
Demographics
Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey!
The National Association for the Employment of People who are Blind (NAEPB), National Industries for the Blind (NIB) are working with your nonprofit agency on a national effort to reform SSDI benefits for people who are blind.
Currently, if an SSDI recipient earns above the substantial gainful activity threshold (which is currently $2,590/month for people who are blind), they lose all their benefits at once. This fiscal cliff has created a disincentive for some employees who are blind to accept raises, additional hours, or career advancement opportunities. The goal of this SSDI reform effort is to create a gradual step down approach that encourages upward mobility and job growth for individuals who are blind.
In order to advance legislation to address this problem, we need to gather data from individuals who are legally blind. That’s where you come in!
Please take a moment to answer this brief survey about SSDI benefits. Whether you currently receive SSDI benefits, have received them in the past, or have never received benefits, there is a section of the survey for you!
The survey should not take long to complete – 10-15 minutes. The survey is designed so individual information is kept anonymous and not tied back to any particular employee.
We appreciate your willingness to participate for this important cause. This is a completely voluntary request, but we do hope you participate!
