Dear Parent,
This is a survey for A Phenomenological Study of How Parents of LGBTQIA+ Youth Experience School-Based Sex Education. This survey will determine eligibility for protentional participates in this research study. If questions aligned with the inclusion criteria, the researcher will reach out to schedule an individual interview through email or phone, through the contact information that you provide in this survey.
Your response will let the researcher know if you meet the inclusion criteria for the interview portion of the study, if your answers do not match the inclusion criteria, then the information you provided will be discarded.
There are minimal, if any, risks from participating. Your identity will be anonymous. You will be asked for your name and some demographic information. For the study, there will be no personally identifiable information associated with your responses to any reports of this data. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
This survey is part of my dissertation research at Antioch University New England in the PhD for Couples and Family Therapy. The information may be used for future research without additional consent.
Your participation is voluntary and you may elect to discontinue your participation at any time.
