1. Purpose

The City of Sarasota is working to expand the City’s greenway and trails network.

The School Avenue Greenway currently ends at Webber Street, and we can continue it north to Datura Street, eventually connecting it to Hyde Park Street, a low-volume east-west road.

But what should this greenway extension look like, feel like, how should it operate?

A greenway is a pathway people can walk, bike, or roll for either transportation or recreation. A greenway’s design is flexible. Typically, greenways are separated from roads, they can be paved or unpaved, and there is often an emphasis on flora and greenery.

We need to hear from you – the greenway’s neighbors and current and future users!
